We are seeking an experienced Prior Authorization Specialist to join a growing team supporting Home Health services. This role requires at least 2 years of recent prior authorization experience, with a strong preference for candidates familiar with home health or post-acute care authorizations. The first 30 days will be onsite in Anaheim (must be a current local to the area) for training and transition, after which the role becomes fully remote (equipment provided). Responsibilities: Submit and follow up on prior authorization requests for home health services Verify insurance benefits and coordinate with payers for approval Communicate with clinical staff to obtain necessary documentation Resolve payer issues or denials related to authorization Document activity and status in the appropriate EHR or tracking system Qualifications: 2+ years of recent prior authorization experience (required) Home health experience strongly preferred Familiarity with commercial and government payers Strong communication and attention to detail Must be local to the Anaheim area for onsite training period Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm Pay Rate: $23-26 per hour depending on experience Medical / Dental / Vision Insurance and Paid Sick Time offered by Medix.
